Robert serves as the principal of the Firm’s Injury Practice Group for the Sheps Law Group, P.C. and is now in his third decade of litigation practice.

His dedication to excellence has earned him various accolades, like being named on multiple occasions one of New York’s Super Lawyers.

Robert handles large complex cases involving construction defects, automobile accidents, employment injuries, product defects, as well as injuries from fires and explosions.  Robert has a unique perspective as he has been hired to serve as an attorney in the past for some of the largest insurance companies and corporations such as Footlocker and American Eagle.

Although Robert concentrates his practice in New York, his reputation has had him hired as legal counsel for cases across the country including Puerto Rico, California, and Florida. Robert has been a frequent lecturer and author on litigation topics for leading industry groups, as well as for the New York City Fire Marshal's Office. Robert has lectured previously for the New York State Bar Association on enhancing litigation techniques for young lawyers in an effort to give back to younger lawyers.

Robert is the Chairman of the New York Chapter of the National Association of Subrogation Practitioners - a leading industry group on fire and explosion claims. He is also a certified fire investigator which assists him in many of the fire based claims he helps prosecute for various clients. Robert is also the Legal Liaison for NY Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators and donates his time assisting NYC fire fighters on legal issues through his association with the NY Friends of Fire Fighters Organization.

Robert currently serves as Lead "Liaison" Counsel - voted by over 100 law firms – to handle injuries and claims arising out of the 2007 New York Con Ed Steam Pipe Explosion at 41st and Lexington where claims were alleged to exceed $100 million. Robert was selected Lead Counsel by the 100 plus law firms to lead the prosecution of claims against Con Edison, the largest steam utility operator in the United States. Robert has also handled claims worth hundreds of millions of dollars arising out of the 1993 World Trade Center terrorist attacks and the September 11th attacks on our nation.
